Google Chrome beta available for Mac and Linux


Google Chrome logoThe beta version of Google Chrome browser is now available for download on Mac and Linux officially. Google released the beta version after ing the more unstable developer version about six months ago. Chrome for Mac is still behind the Linux version as it is without extensions and Bookmark manager.

Chrome for Linux
Google chrome for Linux is available for 32/64 bit Debian/Ubuntu or 32bit/64bit Fedora / OpenSUSE systems. According to Chromium Blog, Google Chrome works well with both Gnome and KDE, and is updated via the normal system package manager. Like the Windows version, it's fast, secure, stable, simple, extensible, and embraces open standards like HTML5. If you have already installed the developer version, you may need to uninstall it before installing the beta as there be few rough stages. You may download Chrome for Linux here.


Chrome for Mac
Google Chrome for Mac OS X 10.5 or later and works only with Intel based system. Though it lacks some features, Google claims it to be fast and secure. You may find the features of Chrome for Mac here. For downloading Beta version of Chrome for Mac move to the download page.
